La Pepiá are the pioneers of the Rainbow Arepa.
VENEZUELA > LONDON
Joel Ferrer arrived in London in 2016, having fled the economic crisis that had overtaken his home country of Venezuela.
Hoping to spread a positive message about his culture through his love of food, he developed the new street food concept La Pepiá’s Rainbow Arepas.
The Rainbow Arepa is the first of it’s kind in Europe. It’s a reinvention of the most well known and traditional food of South America. Arepas are a gluten free grilled corn bun made of white maize, traditionally filled with variations of meats and cheeses.
The La Pepiá Rainbow Arepas are made of the traditional white corn infused with natural extracts from beets, spinach and carrots, giving them both their vibrant taste and colour.
